5 Prep Tips for Your Boudoir Photoshoot
If you’re anything like me, you like to know everything. I am the type of person who has too much anxiety for surprises. That’s why I curated a list of tips for you to get ready for your best boudoir photoshoot ever!
4-6 months before your session
Think outfits!
Pick out several outfits to bring and we can go over them on the day of the shoot where I can guide you towards the pieces that will fit the style that we are working with. If you have absolutely no idea, don’t worry! We include access to our client closet for every client.
Bodysuits– Look great on every body type IMO! Don’t be afraid of color!
IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE LINGERIE
Lingerie is a natural choice for boudoir. However, it isn’t the only option for boudoir. Simple outfits such as a button down shirt and panties can be equally as powerful as lingerie.
4-6 Days Prior to your boudoir photoshoot
1. Wax or shave and moisturize.
2. Avoid spray tans or tanning lotions. No matter how natural tanning sprays and lotions may seem, they create an orange glow that cannot be retouched after your session.
3. Drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin.
4. Remove all price and sizing tags from lingerie. Even the permanent ones.
5. Choose your final 2-3 outfits for your boudoir photoshoot.
6. Create a mood board! Is there something specific you wanna include? Your partner’s fav jersey? Specific poses? Makeup looks you love? This is YOUR session babe make it your own!
